Hi, I'm Ali. (she/her)

I'm a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience, two published books, and I still genuinely love this work.

These days, I'm especially drawn to working with women in perimenopause and menopause who are ready to stop abandoning themselves. Women who want to set boundaries, speak up, and build lives that bring energy and joy.

I bring warmth and directness to every session. I'll get curious with you, name what I see, and stay right alongside you as we move toward what feels most true.

I've always been fascinated by people. I've lived on five continents, traveled to more than twenty countries, and learned four languages along the way. Seeing the many ways people live has only deepened my curiosity about what shapes us, what keeps us stuck, and what helps us change.

My approach blends Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, expressive arts, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Together, we'll help you understand the patterns that have been protecting you, reconnect with your nervous system, and develop practical ways to create the life and relationships you want.

I'm also the author of The Self-Compassion Journal and Essential Strategies for Social Anxiety, and have been featured as a mental health expert in more than twenty-five publications, including TIME, Forbes, Vogue, HuffPost,The Guardian, Today,Well+Good, Daily OM, Parents, The Knot, Real Simple, Bustle, and more.

I used IFS with Ali to understand my different parts. I am definitely more self-led now and a lot less reactive than I used to be. Thank you, Ali! - Angela, 39

I learned some simple somatic tools that totally changed how I handle anxiety spirals. - Leslie, 40

I came in not knowing how to ask for what I needed without immediately feeling super guilty about it. That has definitely changed. I protect my time and energy now. - Sherri, 56

I can bring pretty much anything into the room with Ali and I never feel judged. She’s also funny, which I didn’t realize would matter so much to me in therapy. - Audrey, 45

I used to analyze every conversation afterward and wonder if I’d said something wrong. I still have moments like that, but I trust myself so much more now. - Liz, 45

I’ve had therapists who mostly listened and I wanted something more than that. Ali is really engaged. She asks great questions, gives me things to actually work with, and remembers the little things I mentioned months ago. - Sharon, 50
