Paths to Healing
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MB-CBT)
MB-CBT tools help you untwist anxious thought loops and unearth the unconscious self-defeating beliefs that are keeping you stuck (and unhappy). Together, we bring awareness to the stories you’re telling yourself. With powerful, practical tools, MB-CBT supports real behavior change: building new habits, setting boundaries, and taking real steps toward the life you actually want to create. As you slow down and observe your mind with more kindness, you create space for new choices. Over time, those choices become patterns that reflect your worth, your values, and who you are becoming. You start to recognize the old beliefs that once drove anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and self-criticism and can now replace them with truths that support your self-worth.
Internal Family System (IFS)
We all have different “parts” inside - like the inner critic, the people-pleaser, the anxious protector, or the part that just wants to run away. IFS helps you get to know these parts with curiosity instead of judgment. As you connect with your inner wisdom (your calm, compassionate Self), those parts begin to soften. With support, you learn that every part of you has a positive intention and healing happens as these parts finally feel seen, understood, and unburdened. Together, we help you feel more whole, less reactive, and more in charge of your life. This is called Self-Leadership.
Somatic Therapy
Your body holds the story - even when your mind can’t make sense of it. Somatic therapy can help you tune into the signals of your nervous system so you can feel more grounded, calm, and present. Together, we work to gently shift out of survival mode and into a felt sense of safety, ease, and resilience so you can respond to life instead of reacting to it. Somatic therapy helps you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been operating in survival mode so you can stop people-pleasing, quiet the inner critic, release self-sabotaging patterns, and respond from your truth instead of fear. As you grow the capacity to stay present with your inner experience instead of abandoning yourself, you develop the inner stability needed to choose courage over old survival patterns.
Empowered Communication (NVC)
Sometimes we know we’re upset but can’t quite name why or how to express it. Empowered communication helps you tune into your feelings and needs, and speak your truth with clarity and compassion. Rooted in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), this approach gives you practical tools to set boundaries, make clear requests, and advocate for yourself, without guilt. It’s about learning to honor your voice while staying connected to your heart. And as you practice, you begin to trust that your needs are valid and your voice is worthy of being heard.
“Working with Ali has been truly helpful. I used to be exhausted and burnt out all the time. Through our sessions, I learned how to actually listen to myself—what I feel, what I need—and make requests for what I need. I feel more confident, more grounded, and I have a lot more compassion for myself. Her presence is calm and steady, and the tools I have now are truly valuable.
